This glowing corner of the Hotel is home to The Fireflies, an evolving ensemble of Chicago performers who use movement, illuminated props, fire-inspired textiles, LED arts and eventually live fire to transform ordinary spaces into shared experiences.
They do not simply arrive, perform and disappear.

The Fireflies at Deerfield Family Days
The Fireflies made their first major public appearance during the 2026 Deerfield Family Days Independence Day Parade.
Rather than creating a conventional parade entry, Vaudezilla developed an interactive ensemble that could move fluidly along the route, respond to spectators and create individual moments of connection throughout the crowd.
Flowing fire-colored fabrics created movement that could be seen from a distance. Distinctive crowns and coordinated costumes gave the performers a recognizable visual identity. The performers remained approachable, allowing children, families and spectators to experience the procession at close range.
